- 1 tablespoon soy sauce. (1 sendok makan kecap asin)
- Fried Chicken. (Ayam Goreng)
- 1 cup all purpose flour. (1 cup tepung serbaguna)
- 1/3 cup cornstarch flour. (1/3 cup tepung maizena)
- 1 teaspoon salt. (1 sendok teh garam)
- 1/2 teaspoon white ground pepper.(1/2 sendok teh bubuk lada putih)
- 1/2 teaspoon mushroom seasoning powder. (1/2 sendok teh bubuk kaldu jamur
- Oil for frying. I use peanut oil. (minyak untuk menggoreng, saya menggunakan minyak kacang tanah)
- Orange Chicken Sauce (Saus Orange Chicken)
- 1 cup orange juice from 3 big navel oranges. (1 cup jus jeruk dari 3 buah jeruk Navel besar)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar. (1/3 cup gula merah)
- 3 tablespoon rice vinegar or white wine vinegar. (3 sendok makan cuka beras atau cuka anggur putih)
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce. (2 sendok makan kecap asin)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil. (1 sendok teh minyak wijen)
- 1 inch fresh ginger, finely chopped. (2,5 cm jahe, cincang halus)
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped. (2 suing bawang putih, cincang halus)
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes, or as desired. (1/4 sendok teh cabe kering, atau sesuai selera)
- Orange zest from 2 navel oranges. (dari 2 buah jeruk, parut kulitnya)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch. (1 sendok makan tepung maizena)
- 2 table spoon water. (2 sendok makan air)
- 3 carrots, cut into 1 cm thickness. (3 buah wortel, potong dengan ketebalan 1 cm)
- 2 scallion, finely chopped. (2 buah daun bawang, potong-potong)
Instructions to make to make Orange Chicken Sauce (Ayam saus orange)

To marinade the chicken, in a medium bowl, mix together chicken, egg, salt, garlic, white ground pepper and soy sauce. Give a little squeeze on the chicken so it can absorb the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill it for 30 minutes.
- To make fried chicken, in a big bowl mix together all purpose flour, cornstarch, white ground pepper, salt, mushroom seasoning powder. Put aside. Add in the chicken and coat it with the flour mixture, gently squeeze until the chicken is fully coated.

- Heat the deep fryer (you can also use frying pan), pour the peanut oil, pat the excess of the flour mixture that attached to the chicken and then fry the chicken 3-4 minutes. Drain the oil by putting the fried chicken on the paper towels. Put aside.

- Steam the carrots and put aside.

- To make the orange sauce, dilute 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoon water. In a small sauce pan mix together orange juice, brown sugar, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, red chili flakes and orange zest.
- Heat on a small to medium heat until boiling, once it reachs boiling point, add in the cornstarch diluted, reduce the heat stir til combined and boiled, keep stirring, just to make the sauce not sticky onto bottom of the sauce pan, then let simmer for 1 minute or until the sauce is thickened. Put aside.

- Transfer the orange sauce into a big sauce pan.

- Stir and bring it to boil on small medium heat, then add the steamed carrots, reduce the heat then add the fried chicken, mix the sauce, carrots and fried chicken until all the chicken pieces are fully coated for 1 minute.

- Sprinkle the scallions on the orange chicken sauce. Best to enjoy with hot steamed rice. Enjoy π

Dalam wadah ukuran sedang, marinasi potongan ayam dengan telur, garam, bubuk lada putih, bawang putih, dan kecap asin. Remas-remas potongan ayam supaya bumbu meresap. Tutup wadah dengan plastik wrap dan simpan dalam lemari pendingin selama 30 menit.

- Panaskan deep fryer atau penggorengan, tuang minyak goreng, ketika minyak goreng sudah panas, tepuk-tepuk ayam, supaya tepung tidak berlebihan menempel di permukaan potongan ayam. Goreng ayam selama 3-4 menit atau sampai berubah warna kuning keemasan. Tiriskan ayam. Sisihkan.

- Kukus wortel dan sisihkan.

- Untuk membuat saus orange, larutkan 1 sendok makan tepung maizena dengan 2 sendok makan air. Dalam panci ukuran kecil, masukkan jus orange, gula merah, cuka beras, kecap asin, minyak wijen, jahe, bawang putih, cabe kering, dan parutan kulit jeruk.
- Panaskan di atas api sedang sampai mendidih, kemudian masukkan larutan tepung maizena, saus tetap diaduk, supaya tidak ada yang meempel di bagian bawah panci. Ketika sudah mendidih, kecilkan api dan masak selama 1 menit atau sampai saus mengental. Sisihkan.

- Pindahkan saus orange ke dalam panci ukuran besar.

- Dengan api sedang, masak saus orange sampai mendidih dan tetap diaduk, kecilkan api, kemudian masukkan ayam goreng, aduk sampai saus orange meresap ke dalam ayam goreng, kurang lebih selama 1 menit.

- Taburkan potongan daun bawang. Maknyus disantap dengan nasi panas. π Selamat Makanππ
