- 1 cup samak rice
- 2 table spoon ghee
- 1 potato
- 1 tomato
- 1 green chilli
- 1 small capsicum
- 4 table spoon paneer pieces
- 1 inch piece ginger
- 2 table spoon peanut, kaju pieces
- 1 tablespoon raisin
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
- 6 black pepper
- 1 tea spoon jeera half lemon juice
- 5 curry leaves
- as per taste salt
Steps to make to make Samak rice pulao (barnyard millet)
- Samak rice soaked for 30 min.
Take a pan add 1 tablespoon ghee roast peanut till crispy. Now roast another dry fruits on low flame.


- Keep dry fruits aside. Now roast potato pieces, when patoto would be soft add paneer pieces till brown. Add more ghee roast jeera & curry leaves.



- Now add capsicum,ginger, pepper & tomato. Stir it till soft adding salt. Now add soaked samak & 1 cup water. Mix it & add potato & paneer.


- Cover it with lid for 5 min. It cooked nicely then add all dry fruits. Mix all ingredients very well & add lemon juice.


- A beautiful pulao is ready. Serve it with curd or chutney. Light snack for breakfast or evening snack is ready.
